It seems this year was a pearl year. I kept finding pearls for sale. Here’s another set of pearl earrings, I bought from a garage sale. These little pearly white studs cost me fifty cents. They appear to be vintage earrings with beautiful cups the pearls are sitting in and fancy scroll earring backs. They are a beautiful 6 mm set of pearls.

The earring posts are not marked; instead they are marked on the cup itself. I noticed the 585 mark, which means 14 K gold. So be sure to look on the earring settings too for marks, not just the posts.

I sold this beautiful pair on 12-26-13 for $39.99 plus shipping. After paying the selling fees and the initial 50 cent investment, I made a profit of $32.50.

So, be sure to keep an eye out for pearls with gold posts and backs.
