Hatcher Pass Recreational Area - Parasail, Berry Pick, Gold Pan, Hike, in the summer. Snowmobile, Downhill Ski, or Cross-Country Skiing in the winter months. Located in the Talkeetna Mountains between the towns of Willow and Palmer using the Fishhook Road as access. It offers a wide array of recreational opportunities both in the summer and the winter months. Explore Independence Gold Mine or some of the lesser-known mines that dot the area like Lonesome Mine. Watch and listen for Whistling Marmots, Pikas, Falcons, and Eagles. This is one of Alaska's prime jewels and should be experienced by everyone visiting or living in Alaska.
