Here's a 14 K gold herringbone necklace I found at a garage sale. It was $0.50, since it was broken. Herringbone necklaces are notorious for kinking and breaking...good items to keep your eyes open for to turn into scrap gold. There is definitely more than fifty cents of gold in this necklace.
