Here’s a fun story one of our readers sent in, hope you get a giggle from it. I sure did.
"I found these drop earrings from the Flea Across Florida, which is a 175 mile long flea market/yard sale that runs from Live Oak Florida to Pensacola Florida. It is 3 days long and is done twice a year. I bought them for a buck.
They are sterling silver drop earrings with possibly amethysts. I listed them for sale on eBay with a start price of $7.99, before my wife saw them. After only 2 days, there were several hits and 1 bid for $7.99. Then my wife saw them and loved them. What could I do? I ended the sale with a “item no longer available reason”, because if I knew what was good for me, I better give them to her rather than sell them – Just Kidding. The real reason was if she wanted them; they meant more giving them as a gift than selling them for any price. I am happy they are hers to enjoy for years to come."

I think the moral of the story is: If you want to avoid the doghouse, check with your wife before you sell any jewelry. She may love the piece of bling!
